Ma Rut I love those faces. Are they clay?

Thanks and yes Smiley I had a package of Sculpey in a gross neon pink color that I had purchased a while back so I decided to use it. It ended up working surprisingly well I think because it darkened when baked and created a natural undertone to any color put on top of it. I scraped them all up a bit once dried, then did the linework of their features with a super fine tip Sharpie.

Thanks for all the comments everyone Smiley I had super duper swap anxiety for this one! All of my partners have received, so I'll go ahead and post a group shot:

I also made a post for them in the Toys, Dolls and Playthings forum, which can be found here if you would like to see more individual pics:

Ma Rut, your dolls are simply stunning! I can't believe the amount of stitching you did! And, I love how you made each one relate to something special about each of your partners. Beautiful job!!

Ma Rut those are all just amazing.  Thank you so much for posting the group shot.  I really really dig the multiple face ones, and the octopus with a human face, and the leaf and the quill and the big flower shaped one.  Yeah, all of them. Wink  Your detail work is incredible.

Ma Rut those are inspiring. Way to think out of the box Smiley  I really love them all, but I think the octopus is my favorite.

Once again, a friendly reminder to G3 and G4 to let me know when you send or receive!

I've seen gallery posts from some folks who haven't PM'd me to let me know they've gotten their dotees!  Not naming names, just sayin'...  Cheesy

If you see on the front page of the gallery that I have marked you as received and you have NOT PM'd me, don't bother doing it now, just make sure you do it when you receive from other people!

Thanks a bundle.  Wink  I want to make sure everyone gets the credit they deserve for these amazing little dolls, and I don't want to neglect to give anyone feedback in a timely manner.

And as an aside, I am LOVING all of Ma Rut's dotees... how awesome that I have one hanging on my wall!  They are all SO intricate!  Wonderful!

I received a lovely, amazing, detailed dotee from Tygir today!

She is an orange tree, and she even has oranges and "bark" embroidery on the back... so detailed and cute!

I love her so much, thank you Tygir!  Smiley
