Hi all!

I had an old, faded and abused looking tote. It had served me many years as a good and faithful bag, but it had succumbed to time itself, loosing its youthful bloom. But it had such good bones, great material and I could really use it. But I could not think what to do to make it better looking.

One day, after making up tons of fabric grocery bags, I had two forlorn pieces of material getting ready to go back into the scrap box. Until, these two pieces of fabric cuddled up together and I saw the beauty they made side by side. They looked good, but along came a ribbon and gave it a fairy tale look.

There was not enough of either material to cover a side, so I cut it up and sewed it into strips.

Very soon, I had a bag to be proud of.

Now this happy bag resides in my Jeep and whenever I need to pick up just a few things for the day, I can always toss it in this bag and not have to worry about carrying home five plastic bags inside.

Thanks.  Grin  The only problem with using up scraps is your scrap box looks empty and you go out and get more.  Roll Eyes Cheesy

Yeah, I just bought about 20 more feet of material. Isn't that what vacation is for? Wink
