Well, after
6 MONTHS, I have finally received the professional shots from one of the photographers (yes, I am still waiting on the others. *nghhhhhhhhh*)
I have to say, it was definitely worth the wait. and A GREAT LESSON TOO. i.e. don't ever wait that long again. tell the photographer to bring a white background when you have black costumes, etc.
Jerry (photog) did an INCREDIBLE job.

Original Post:SO:
once upon a time, I need projects that overwhelm my life. Here's the latest. A "rough draft" photo shoot that will one day become a night of fashion.
I made EVERYTHING. Cyberlox hairpieces, thigh highs, gloves, painting shoes, hats, garments, some suspenders, fascinators, EVERYTHING YOU SEE.

Queen of Hearts. Mayyyybe my favorite corset ever. All buttons are handstitched. AND I made the fascinator.

Duchess and the cook. <3

Cheshire Cat + King of Hearts. *meoooow*

Caterpillar and a Card of the Queen's Court.

White Rabbit!

Jabberwocky

White King and Queen with Alice playing chess on the Queen's train.

Tea Party!!!!!

Dormouse, Alice, Mad Hatter.

Card in the Queen of Heart's Court. Yes, I made the cyberlox falls and everything.

Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee. This taught me what NOT to do when dyeing synthetic wigs.
won't see the professional photos for a few months, but am SO HAPPY with how everything came out!
Enjoy!

edited to put a less scantily-clad photo firstA humble, heartfelt, kow-towing thank you thank you thank you to EVERYONE for all of your amazing feedback and comments.
I started this project basically because I needed a project. The models are all actor friends of mine out here in Las Vegas, and every outfit was inspired by the person wearing it. Things turned out a bit more on the adult side than I was originally anticipating (i.e. Tweedles Dum and Dee) but I definitely took influence from the statuesque beauty of Vegas Showgirls.
This was kind of a collaborative art experiment once the ball started rolling. I know the limits of my creativity, and I KNOW that makeup and hair (unless it's fake raver dreads) are not my forte. I was blessed to be working with the creative geniuses of the Vegas production of Spamalot. Hair and makeup was done by the wigs department from Spamalot, the models were the cast of the show, and the professional photography was done by friends I'd met out and about in the Goth scene.
Because everyone did everything for free, I won't see the end results of the photography for another few months and won't be able to post without the photographers' permissions. I'll do my best!
This was alllllll put together by me in 6 weeks. I had stitching help on 2 button down men's shirts but I made everything else from scratch. (I realllllllllly didn't sleep very much)
And I learned a WHOLE lot.
HUGE THANKS to my models, actors, hair and makeup artists, friends who came to assist me and help to direct the photo shoot, photographer friends, and my darling boyfriend who put up with my alice taking over the world project.
The plan is to turn it into a "real" fashion show someday, but not until I catch up on my sleep.
Thanks again to everyone here for all of your wonderful comments. I am humbled!
Without further ado, more photos!!!
