oooooooh - could you take an action shot the holding capacity - I am so trying to configure a smaller bag to carry in place of a purse or a backpack, but still hold all my stuff - maybe this structure is the shape I'm looking for?

I love backpacks and sling bags!  This one looks like a great size.  I think you did a fabulous job with it! Thanks for the great shots!  (Would really love a tute if you are so inclined.)

Thanks for sharing!

Hope this photo helps...there is actually a lot more space available but I didn't know what else to put.

That is exactly the kind of backpack I have been looking for- elegant enough to look like a purse, but big enough to hold everything you need on a full day out! I LOVE it! please, please please give us the tutorial!!!
Your fabric choice is also really great. I wish I could make one EXACTLY like yours!

I am a convert to use of backpacks in place of handbags... it all comes from having three kids so that even two spare hands are never enough!  I would love a tutorial - but to be honest, as I looked at this I even thought I'd pay for a pattern for a backpack that good!  My only other "must have" on any bag is a zippered interior pocket for my wallet - but I was unlucky and had a wallet stolen from a bag once which makes me super vigilant on this score.

Your fabric choices have made this a very elegant bag too.
