Everything is wonderful, Hollistercobabe, but that bracelet rocks and you are the queen of resin! I can't figure out how you got the letters in there so perfectly, you da man! the smores idea was totally and ridiculously AWESOME! What a fun idea, and the flame, well, I bet it blows her away the first time she lights up that puppy. You have a great imagination!

thanks  it took me forever to think of the fire idea and then when i was etching the glasses it hit me, i was just glad it turned out ok. lol oh i forgot i also sent forest noise cds to simulate being in the woods when she's "camping" and the resin is actually transparency paper lol

Okay, so I flubbed up and did a ditzy blonde sort of thing, apologies to my partner, Damara. She saw the photos I posted which prompted her to ask about a Wizard of Oz tin she sent me. I write back and ask what tin, and then it hits me, maybe I should double check the box cause it's flat and maybe I missed it. Yes indeedy I did! I went out to the recycle bin and there it was, all cold outside in that box just waiting for me to find it!

It's huge! 15-1/2" x 10-1/2"...how the hell did I miss THAT?!



Isn't it fabulous?! And I don't have that one! You don't know how difficult it is to buy anything Oz for me that I don't already have, so RIGHT-ON, RIGHT-ON, DAMARA!

Another mystery was solved when she asked me about the beaded items, the grouping with that wonderful ruby red slipper (which I just may have to turn into a pin because the beading is so intricate) and the other two pieces. It was hilarious, I didn't want to ask what they were for fear of hurting her feelings and she almost didn't mention them, but she put so much work into them. Turns out she beaded my user name 'dawt,' but I only found the D and the A. I tore through that tissue paper over and over again but to no avail, no W or T was found. When it's light outside I'll re-check the recycle bin and hope for the best.

Thank you for putting up with this air-head, Damara...I'm so embarrassed I can hardly stand it!

Meh, craftster requires a certain amount of .... lets just call it "Duh".  I'm glad she mentioned the tin so you found it!  I can't tell you how many times I've posted a comment about the color swap in the random swap thread and visa versa... us crafty people have better things to think about than the practical lol.

I received from PatriaE today!  It was so exciting!!

First, I got 3 reusable shopping bags.  Clara must be psychic, because I always need more of them!  I walk to the grocery store, and many of my bags are getting worn out.  And to make it even better, it says "I love math," "math is fun," and "(mathy symbols)" on them!  Now they can't be stolen!  My favorite is the "I love math," as that's my Ravelry name  



 
Next, I got an apron!  I love aprons, but can never justify buying one, and it's in blue, one of my favorite colors!  Even better, it fits around my neck without me having to make an extra knot! Yippee!


A gummi bear shirt!  It fits!  It's adorable!  I'm wearing it a we speak!  It's soft! It's purple!  I love purple! Exclamation point!




And a freakin amazing pillow!  It has these awesome ties so I can read a book WHILE KNITTING!  I used it today, and now I can super-multitask!  And of course, green is another favorite color
