My mom has been hoarding several boxes of scraps for over thirty years. She always said she was going to make a quilt with them but that never seemed to happen. Well last year my parents moved into a smaller house and mom finally gave up the scrap stash. Now I have an awesome stash of vintage scraps and I finally got around to using some.
This shirt started out to be a cocktail apron. I sewed the strips together six months ago. Then we moved and it was lost in my craft stash. I found it again last week and decided to make a shirt for Anabel. I used some dollar fabric from Wal-Mart to line it, left over quilt binding for the straps and some funky green buttons from my stash.

I can't wait to show my mom!
Comments are always welcome!
Thanks for looking!

Wow!  Really cute!  And just a note.....I'm really jealous of your newfound fabric stash!  lol.  For me that would be equal to a junkies dealer giving him freebies for a month!  lol Cheesy

I like this! And I love those colors because they are so not little girl typical. Paisley is my favorite!
