Hello Smiley
I made this bracelet for my partner, Lovething, for the Zombie Swap #4. Its made with bamboo tiles that i painted black, then glued and sealed printed images of Zombie movie posters on them with Mod Podge -gawd, do i hate that stuff. i had wanted to seal them with spray varnish, so i popped them in a bag to take with me to the cottage to finish up, and on the trip up, the podge got sticky in the heat of the car and they all fused together like ribbon candy in an old ladies' candy jar. prying them all apart did some very noticable damage to a few of them... luckily i'd made extras just in case. i put 10 coats of spray varnish on them so there wouldn't be a repeat of that disaster. next time i'll stick with the acrylic gel medium, which hasn't failed me yet. The tiles are wired together with 14 gauge silverplated wire.

For the bracelet, I roughly followed a tut that I found on the HGTV website (here: http://www1.hgtv.com/crafting/bamboo-tile-bracelet/index.html). If you attempt this though, do NOT use the measurements supplied - I wasted a meter of wire by precutting all the pieces and bending them according to their instructions. the tiles are not uniformly drilled, so you need to measure each wire individually to fit the tiles you are working with. I also changed the clasps so that they were wire wrapped because i don't think the way they did it would last.  it was still a clever project though, measurement issues aside. I didn't use the 16 gauge wire that they recommended, but i think it would be easier to work with than the 14 gauge I had to use.
I have a few more of different themes in the works now ^_^
