Some old Hogwarts robes I made for my best friend and I.

Since we wanted a set of school robes for the book and movie movie release I got busy with my magic wand, needle and thread! I looked for patterns that were like the school robes but did not find any commercial patterns that were quite right.

I got a basic set of instructions from a geocities site, but it seems to have been taken down.  Huh On the site she explained how to draft the pattern. I went to work, taping newspapers together to get the size before cutting my fabric. I was impressed with the end results, and surprisingly warm in the overly cold movie theatre.

The robes did double duty, and were great halloween costumes! I got so many compliments and many people thought we looked authentic. Smiley I ordered the coordinating patches and ties straight form Hogwarts (ok, ok, Ebay Wink )

My friend's action shot (oh that is Butterbeer in the picture with him!)

Making of the robes...

(errm... yeah, I LOVE Butterbeer!)

Hope this is the right place to put this!
