So I sell potholders on my etsy site:

I am not sure how to get the best pictures of them though.  Should I use a lightbox for basically flat items?  Any other ideas?  I'm worried the photos I have aren't terribly dynamic.

Thanks so much for all your help!

I use a lightbox that I made using this tutorial: http://digital-photography-school.com/how-to-make-a-inexpensive-light-tent

If you make a big enough one, it'll be easy to get a nice white background, which you can switch up when making product images =)

Also I use a little necklace hanger for stuff like potholders, might be a good idea! Also you can lay the box on its back and photograph the item straight down, so no extra doo-dads are in your shot.

Hope that helps!
