So, what would be the rules for a swap like this? Use materials that would otherwise end up in the landfill? Use your stash, rather than buy new stuff? Make items to help you be green, like a tote bag to take to the store?
Can an item not be practical, if it's recycled? I'm still not sure if I'll have the time to commit to this-I've got a big swap starting before too much longer-but I love the idea behind this.
And there's an eco-craftalong here with good ideas you all might want to check out. Grin

I wasn't planning on having specific rules like that, to leave this open to interpretation. I was leaning more towards the items to help you be green, but I'd like to leave it up to individual partners to decide what specifically they want to do. Some of that can also be determined by what medium they work with. Someone may want to recycle some shirts into a quilt, someone may want to make some fused bags. They both fit under the "recycled/green" theme. And as for the not being practical, but still recycled, that's up to you and your partner.

Awesome. I was just checking in, make sure I didn't miss something. There was lots of discussion on it that just dropped quickly so had to double check. I'm leaving a slot in my schedule open just for this swap and I would be heartbroken to miss it! =D

The complete two swaps requirement is for the organizer. The participants just have to have been a member for a month, have at least 15 posts, and no negative feedback.

Just checked your profile.... you're a Dutchie!! (lord, I hope that's not an offensive term.) I've never made it to the Nederlands, but I spent about 10 days in Flanders, which was completely awesome. Next time I'll make it over the border!! My boyfriend's half-Dutch, so I'm inclined to love all Dutch people right about now. Cheesy
