I usually don't care to much for quilts, but I love this one! TWLOHA is such a good organization with a good message.  I love the quilt and the saying that TWLOHA (LOVE IS THE MOVEMENT)!  I also think it is good that in a way you are spreading the word about such a good organization.  Well done!

What a quilt, and the story makes it so much more poignant. Thank you for sharing it with us. I hope others find comfort in your quilt, too.

This is beautiful! Your story brought tears to my eyes. I'm so sorry you had to deal with such loss. But this is an amazing way to work through your pain and a beautiful way to honor your friend. I hope you find peace and healing.

BTW... TWLOHA has a tent at Warped Tour all summer long, if you go pick something up! It's for a really good cause.

Absolutely awesome!  I love items that show the emotion that the person who made them went through.  It makes the item that much more special.  thank you for sharing your story.  Amazing.

I've never made a quilt before, but I feel that I need to comment on this one. It's so touching and I know how it is to have those problems. It seems you've found a solace in quilting like I have in sewing bags and clothes and such. I have to say how great I feel reading all the comments. I kind of expected to see at least one prejudiced, ignorant comment about how people who self-injure are just stupid emos. But I truly have seen the Craftster community at its best and want to thank everyone who has and will leave a loving comment.
(Sorry if I totally turned that into a selfish paragraph, I just felt I needed to say that.)
And once again, the quilt is beautiful, as well as your perseverance and determination to get through this without hurting yourself.

I have truly found Craftster to be a very supportive, positive and encouraging place, and I think that when most people come across things that they don't agree with, they choose to be mature and ignore it or just not post a reply.  I think Craftster is a great place created for and by great people!

And thanks for the link to the site, delrious27.  It really is great to know the back story.

Lord, show me your ways. Teach me how to follow you.  Guide me in your truth. Teach me. You are God my Savior.  I put my hope in you all day long.
