I finally have a free spot so I can sign up for this! I posted the picture of my item back towards the beginning of the thread, way back in July. It's a necklace/bracelet/earrings jewelry set.

I finally finished my prize...I hope that it's blue enough Wink

It is a miniature illumination on paper with 23 carat gold leaf as well as some gold gouache.  This picture shows the shininess of the gold, but not the true colour of the blue.

I've included this for scale:

I'm going to send it matted to protect it, since the gold will lift if there is too much pressure applied to it.

Here we go! I am submitting a set of felted nesting bowls. Mostly blue but I couldn't help but make a cute little green one. They are made of 100% wool an they took around 3 hours to make.

Here they are stacked inside each other:

The largest one is about 6 inches across and the smallest one is about 2.5 inches across
They are still drying right now so the colors may turn out slightly lighter.

Filled with crafting things.

And here is a pic of what they looked like before they were felted (click to enlarge, if you want):

I used my "Embelish Knit" I-cord maker to knit up some rope really fast and then sewed them into  "coiled pots". Then I threw them in the washer on a hot cycle (in pillow cases pinned shut) for a double cycle of agitation. I took them out and hand felted them a little more and finally shocked them with really cold water. Hope everyone likes them!

They are so cute!  I would love to have them, I can think of a hundred and one things I could use them for.

I love those bowls! And I think I need to dig out a coupon for AC Moore and get me one of those Embellish-Knit things... Do you just turn the crank and go? Or do you actually have to manually hook the yarn over the pegs?
