Introducing Count Manilow

This is a monster poppet I have made for a personal swap. I hope the person doesn't mind me posting it before I send. He is for her son. I hope he gets a better name!  The hubby thought he looked like Barry Manilow and some other people have agreed!

Anyway I used the pattern modifications made for the garden gnome only I did tweak it slightly.

His club is filled with dried lentils to give it some weight and it also velcros to his hand.

The teeth and eyeball on his necklace are made from air dry clay and a plastic safety eye, some embroidery thread, and modge podge. I love the way it turned out. I also used the air dry clay to sculpt his nose and brow ridge.

Here is the part I am most proud of! I haven't made this before and I laughed the entire time I was making it, but the best part was seeing my hubbys face when he came home and asked me what I had done all day.

His mouth is needle sculpted just like his bum!

The Count is fabulous, AI!  He looks less like Manilow now that he is finished (though I kinda liked that aspect of him LOL)
