first post. here goes.
i made this awhile ago about April and it was my first real sewing (I've made dolls and bags and pillows as a kid but nothing but straight lines). i made my puppy Pippa a doggie coat cause it was starting to get cool at night (i live in Australia) and because i thought she needed spoiling cause we got her from the pound which i would do again and again and again.
i bought some brown cord with pink and purple hearts on it and used some pink polar fleece we had lying around at home. i bound it in hot pink bias and closed it with Velcro to allow for adjustments in size.

it was my first time using an overlocker and i hated it at first i wasn't cutting enough off and then the machine ate it at the top around a corner so now I'm scared of them i think ill stick with zigzag instead

i think pip looks great in it and she gets so many compliments about it. she is now 1 hip doggie.
i have since made her (ahem WIP) a thicker one in case its really cold early in the morning if we need to go walkies (fat chance...but just in case). i used the same materials but a light pink bias but i used a layer of wadding as well to make her toastie.

thanks for looking. i like it and pip does too.

Great job!  Your Pippa is A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!  I like the fabric, and it fits her so well too.

Aw, that is so pretty and it fits her so nicely.
I've been wanting to make custom doggie clothes for my dog for a while now because I can't find many things that fit her since she is an English Bulldog and she is shaped a bit ... bigger.. than most dogs her height. Was it difficult?
