NyteRayn, I knew how to rewire before I tackled this, but it is seriously easy. You can google it or hit hardware stores (local more then Home Depot - greater chance of finding someone to advise) and get all you need.

I will post a bit later with some more info if you like.

Alice, I took the lamp apart, sanded it lightly to remove the electroplating, then wiped it with a tack cloth.. then primed it with the Rustoleum primer. Let it dry 24 hours, then did 2 light coats on the pieces, letting them dry 24 hours (this was a test in patience as I wanted it done.. well.. NOW. hehe).. That worked well for this application. I always like to sand, then  prime (helps give the paint something to cling to - and cover better) before I take the actual paint to it.

thanks for all the compliments.. I love this thing.. and now want to do more Cheesy

and beautiful.. this is hanging in  my little 1 bedroom apt.. course, my tastes are a bit eclectic (hence the curtains with twinkle lights behind them in the background) but I say.. if I like it.. try it! Cheesy

Thanks! I'll take a look- or maybe I can find one that doesn't need rewiring! Smiley

If I was a bed, I would stay unmade.

OH. MY. GOD.  this chandelier is really awesome.  your color choices totally modernize it and gave this chandelier an entirely new look.  nice revamping.  kind of reminds me of something i might see in a free people shop (if you've never seen, then check it out, if only for the way they decorate the shop!) or something that might be sold in urban outfitters.
(and i am loving those little lights behind your curtains!)
