I made my very first stencils this weekend! I tested them first on canvas scraps, here they are:

how do you make stencils so that they are so precise?

i always end up cutting parts out with scissors or an exacto knife... maybe you're just more delicate that i am, but those look super professional!

Smiley I buy canvas by the bolt and am always just innudated with scraps to big to trash and too small to use for anything good!

I wanted to be able to reuse them, so I combined a few mothods I read about here.

I used HEAVY stencil plastic- they called it template-something at Joannes. Cut it out with a sharp exacto knife, then turned the stencil over, sprayed it with spray adhesive, then stuck it down on my fabric so even the inner parts would stay put. They peeled right back up and I should be able to use them a bunch more times. I guess I should have thought about what I was going to use them for before I made them. Tongue

I really like the glasses/nose stencil. Smiley

sewing them onto the front of a shirt would be cool, you can cover up and stain that you can't get out or a stupid graphic thats on the front

Ohh.. I really like these Smiley  Some of them would look funky on light browns & light blues..kinda vintage...the others are reallly bright yellows or oranges!  Now if I can just find 7 soft cotton shirts... I am just obsessed with soft cotton... Wink  then would be funky stencilled down a door...or along a doorway... just a funky decor touch to a wall or something, as well.
