I'm not sure this is the right forum... I used already made felt due to time constraints, but yea... if it's wrong, please change it!

ANYWHO.  So... My boyfriend was in the Broadway By The Bay production of Little Shop Of Horrors.  He was in the cast ensemble, and in every broadway show, one person with a very small part in awarded the "gypsy robe" as a thank you for the amazing job, above and beyond their small part, that they have done.  Then, they must make a patch for it pertaining to their show, and pass it on to the next winner opening night of the next show that company puts on.  DB won it (yay DB!) and so of course he procrastinated until the very last minute (4 hours before the show started) and came to me begging for help. So... I pulled out a pile of felt I had in my car, some scissors, sent him to the craft store for fabric glue, and got to work. 72 minutes later...

And this

And this!

And This (the other patches for comparison, most are just fabric printed with photos, machine embroidery hired out, or just even cut out of a teeshirt, apparently when he brought it in, the whole cast went ape over it, like they'd never actually seen someone really MAKE a patch... hmm)

And one more dorky picture of my boy.

This was actually pretty easy, and although this one is slightly sloppy, I think I might do this technique again... I'm happy to post a tutorial as well if anyone's interested.

Oh, wow;. As a theatre person myself, I LOVE what you did with the gypsy robe. Smiley Usually ours ONLY has a small cast, so whoever gets it gets to put on a small prop from the show (rather than a patch). I think you did a great job with that... And yay for gypsy robes!
