So, I finally have cleared out a good portion of my UFOs and I have an pattern from around 2005 that calls for Gedifra Fashion Trend Fino Stripe.  The problem is that the yarn is discontinued and I can't seem to find a good replacement with the same beautiful change in color.  Any suggestions?

If it's a worsted look at Noro, SWS, or the SWTC yarns like Karaoke, and a couple others. If DK weight there's Rowan Tapestry.

What about the Kuni yarn, that has a long colour change but in so many ranges and it is a great value. Also Melody make a great sock and lace weight yarn that has some lovely colour changes and twists..... As for weight I know that the Kuni is traditionally used in sweaters, so it should work, I haven't used it myself, so I am unsure of the actual gauge that it states on the ball band.

Do you have any info on the Kuni yarn?  I tried to google it, I could not find a website for it or its American distributor.
