I think it's an absolutely genius idea. I love the flowers on the skirt.

I love this dress... I would totally wear it. I especially like the little flowers.

Oh, I love this...please don't take the flowers off, as a few people have suggested!  I think the flowers are what really make the dress interesting and unique.  I also like the way the triangle of flowers complements the a-line skirt.  So pretty!

Congratulations to you & your husband!

I think it looks professional and expensive. Congratulations on it and the wedding!

Oh my goodness - thank you all SOOOOO much!  I really wasn't sure about it but I really appreciate all of your comments and think I'm going to lose the red ribbon (I agree with the star spangled banner comments!) and rearrange the flowers a bit so that they look more 'tumbly'

I'll post an updated pic as soon as it's complete and I'm also going to put a tutorial on my blog for how to make the flowers - very easy honest!  just give me a few days to get chance to put it together and take the pictures.

Thanks everyone again

Congrats on your marriage. I think you did a great job with the dress. The rosettes take it to a whole different level. Awesome!

I actually disagree with some of the previously posted comments--- you could make the argument for thinning the flowers out and having them more sparsely placed, but I think a look like this is very all-or-nothing, and having them sparser would actually make it worse. I LOVE the dress (both wedding and now!) and think it's gorgeous. Kudos to you for being so bold. Pair it with some red lipstick and heels and it's a winner!
