Family Affair -- Let's all sew

My hubby and I are taking a Indie Craft class as our date night and at the last class the teacher brought in some of Jenny Hart's, Sublime Stitching Fame, patterns. I am somewhat familiar with embroidery but my hubby is not. When we got home our 7 year old wanted a lesson too.

So The pink cat is mine (for the 4 year old), the Pirate is my husbands, and the horse is my 7 year olds. Very Proud of my family.

That's so cool! I love that your date night is a crafting thing...

I think my home life would be happier if we could get my stepdad to buy things other than cigarettes. xD And also, I love that you turned it into a family affair! I love your daughter's work... it is very neat for someone that young! (none of the seven year olds I know would have that kind of patience, heh).

All in all, great work!

Wow! That is so cool that all of you could sit down and do something like this together. They turned out beautifully. How did the pirate's hair get done? I'm kind of a newbie needleworker (aka: taught myself and am still learning more of the difficult stitches) and I always have problems doing fill work.

The pirate was done my DH, he did a satin stitch with a variegated floss.

It's so cool that you and your husband are doing this and even more so that the seven year old got involved. All the projects look great and your husband did well to be a novice. The pirate's hair is nicely done.
