Two weeks ago I was suddenly whisked off to France and got to stay in an amazing apartment by the ocean. I took lots of photos of shells and scenery, and today I made a beach-inspired photo album.

Materials used: structured paper, thread, a bit of glue in the spine, thick scrapbooking paper. I attached the photos with double-sided tape. The shell on the cover had a natural hole in it, so I just strung it on waxed cotton thread. The fleur-de-lis is a brad.

I improvised the stitching on the cover. The pages were bound using the coptic stitch.

You did a beautiful job!
And "whisked off to France", it seems to me, is one of the loveliest phrases in the world. You are very lucky!

Thank you.

And panul, you don't know how lucky. If I may brag - my favourite author was the one who whisked me off to France, and I proofread a new book! And went to the beach, and had wine....  Grin Grin Grin And got paid - all of this is magical especially since I'm otherwise unemployed and I've just wished for someone to see what I'm able to do.

bigfatroses: you should!! I think it's really fun to have smaller albums sometimes with their own themes and in different shapes. I often make my own to match the content, especially when I've traveled.
