that is adorable!! About how big are the individual squares, and then as a whole?

Thanks to everyone for the kind words! I'm glad you all like it! What an awesome welcome to an awesome forum.

Now to answer some questions. The main squares are 12" X 12" (the little squares are 6" X 6" and the stripes vary in width) and the quilt itself is just over 5' X 7'.  I started gathering my supplies in January and my sister's birthday is the first of March (and I was sewing right up until her party because I have a bit of a problem with procrastinating!). So, from planning stages to final stitch, it took right around seven weeks, with the majority of the work done in the last 2 or 3.

It's super cool and original.  I love it when people take something that's super mass-produced and computery like video game characters and make them hand-crafted and original.
