I remember a while ago there was a post somewhere on craftster about what to do with all those loose lengths of hemp left after a bracelet/necklace binge. I was reminded of it when I started making these hair pins and earrings with my loose scraps.

and some bone earrings for good measure:

I was wracking my brain what to do with these rib bones, so I made some earrings:

I love the way the hairpin decorations dangle! It's a real nice/simple way to spice up ordinary hair things! Good job!  Cheesy

I LOVE these sooo much. Smiley Great work.
Where did you get the bones? They creep me out a little, but I still wish I had some to do work with. I only hope that I don't have to get them from roadkill, though. Ick.

How do you preserve the bones?  Just boil and try them out?  I remember from my childhood a book on fossils that there's a way to dry them out and salt them in soil (or something like that).  Anyway, great job!

I LOVE the hair dangly things. I tried making one, but it ended up like crap. Maybe could you post a quick tut on how to do one or two of them? I'd be forever grateful!

I'm pretty sure most of them (if not all of them) are your basic square knot with random bits of hemp and some beads added in for good measure.
