So I bought this table for $5 at a garage sale because I needed a new table for my sewing machine.  I just painted the bottom white and the top black.  For the sides I printed out diamond shapes from the computer, traced them, and painted them black.  It kind of reminds me of an argyle pattern and the lines turned out really straight.  Here's the pics.
