So heres the scene:
Friday night, all alone. Feeling the crafty itch but can't muster the courage to bust out the sewing machine or anything I'm "supposed" to be crafting. -sigh-

Whats that I see over there? No.. no no... left... Yeah! That! Hmmmm...

A pile of vintage pillowcases from Goodwill, a large stretcher I had previously ripped the canvas off of after a few too many failed paintings, a staple gun, staples, scissors, and a hammer. Hmmm... I like where this is going.

Snip snip (cut pillow case in half, save other half for later use), staple staple staple, stretch pull, staple staple

Hang on newly painted wall, admire

*it looks a bit crooked but thats just the camera angle.

I love it. This is one of my favorite ways to personalize my home.
Now anyone have any ideas for this gem? Its another pillow case.

Thanks for looking!!

that's so cool!  if i just saw that on the wall, i never would have guessed it'd been a pillowcase in a previous life.

Wow, that is *awesome*!  I love the print- so very vintage!

As for the other pillowcase, the one thing that popped into my mind was to make a pocket out of the pic of the boy giving the girl the ice cream cone... maybe on a little apron with a frilly edge? Wink I'm sure there's something much more awesome that could use the whole pillowcase, though. Smiley

What a cool idea! It looks great hanging on the wall.

The adorable green kid pillowcase is just screaming to be made into a retro apron with green ribbon ties and some ruffled eyelet trim!

Looks great with the wall paint!  Like you had the print first, and planned the wall color around it.  Grin
Those pillowcases were a great find!

I'm a dabbler.  I know just a bit about almost everything, but expert at nothing.  Working on that though.
