My sis is having her baby in about 7 weeks and the shower is Saturday. I started this Monday with much trepidation of getting it done. This is me being really really tired. hahaha

Anywho, the design is mine and I think I did fairly well with it. You know, considering I haven't quilted in well over ten years.

The supplies, not including three more yards of fabric I bought later.

Now I know why I don't do this often.  Cry

The backing fabric since I forgot to take a pic of it after completion...

Giant pixelated pattern thanks to a huge mess at the copy shop.  Roll Eyes

TONS OF PINS...Cause I couldn't find the safety pins and it was 4 in the morning...

And the final product!

So...What do you guys think?!?!

Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.

That's one of the fastest replies I've ever gotten on Craftster. haha

It's really quite huge. I didn't realize just how large 45 x 60 was until I started twisting and turning it in the machine. It took a good 30 seconds just to make a slight adjustment.  Grin

Such a heartwarming image.  ^^  I especially love the swirl pattern in the sun.

Your sister is lucky - if mine were expecting, I'd probably just send her a card!

if you can't be a good example then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.

Thanks guys! *blush*

I made her an embroidered taggy last night to go with and I'm considering a simple diaper bag, too. And then I'd hide the quilt and stuff in there. There's just sooooooo much extra fabric from having to get long enough yardage for the outer stripes that I have to use it up. It was about $100 total so I want to milk this fabric for all it's worth! haha
