My first weaving project

Some women ask for jewels or perfumes for their birthday. I asked for a small loom. So my parent's gift for my 40th birthday last month was a 32' Ashford Rigid Heddle loom. I didn't manage to try it before yesterday. And this is my first scarf, pure acrylic as I didn't want to spoil nice yarn for my first go. But finally it's a nice fabric, very soft. I love the variegated yarn of the warp. I think I'll get more !

  Very nice! I know what you mean about the birthday thing, I never ask for the "norm", in fact I already have the next holiday request in to have him pick out fabric.....hmm wonder what he'll come up with.

The weft is anis green, my favourite color.

Yes, it's my first-ever weaving project. I did my best to make even edges. I think I'll get it soon.

Thats soo Lovely Im quite jelouse , I got my loom last week and my 1st project dosen look anything as nice lol oh well hopefully practice makes perfect.
