Is this an apple tree?

I am not the plant person in my family (my hubby is). I try, but usually I kill everything green I touch.
My son planted apple seeds in my backyard garden when we moved into this house a couple years back, my husband thinks this is an apple tree (which would be amazing that it grew! )

Anyone know? If it's just a weed I'll cut it down and out of the garden, but it looks like a tree to them.

I tried to get several pics, the main stem looks like a tree, but I'm not sure.

Some of the pics I see on my google searches look like my tree. Should I tie up the tree to a pole for it to grow straight? Right now it's growing out, not up

I have an apple tree in my yard and it looks more like this one:

But I have a baby walnut tree that looks similar to yours.
You might try googling for some foliage pictures or bring some leaves to your local nursery and ask them if you don't get a more definitive answer here

I don't think it's a walnut tree, but if it is it has to go ASAP. My youngest is allergic to nuts. I'll take some leaves to the nursery.

If it's an apple tree, it should have had some blossoms this spring, did it?  It doesn't look like MY apple tree, what it does look like is my ficus.

  It looks like an ash tree, white or green I would say hard to tell until the bark is more mature.  If it is, this is a beautiful tree, mine is tall multi trunked and very graceful in appearance.  It will also overhang the fence in a most shameless manner, your neighbors might not be amused when it matures.
