southern california planting schedules?

hey,
do you guys think it is too late to plant a winter garden here in san diego? It's still sunny out, we've only had some on and off rain, and then more santa ana. I mean it's cooling off, but we're not going to have frost for another month or two, I would say. I meant to plant in October, but we finally got some new good dirt and mulchy stuff and seeds.
I don't want to plant and have them be too weak by the time winter comes around. But who knows how much of a winter it will even be here, anyways.
should I just wait until spring?
