I got this blue fabric in a swap and it just screamed "elephant" to me, so after a couple of paper patterns, stitching (on my new sewing machine - yey Smiley) and stuffing, this is what I came up with.

I have made a couple of dolls before, but this the 1st one I designed the pattern for my self. I call her Elvie. There are some more pictures on my etsy. (hope I'm allowed to put that)
Comments/crititism much appreciated.

I agree with previous posts, she's very sweet. Kinda reminds me of Babar, maybe it's the  small eyes and the trunk...How big is she? I love the dress too!

Thankyou everyone that commented.
Stood up she is about 9" tall
The fabric is actually cotton, but I think it has been hand dyed in a nice patchy random way in a few subtly different shades.
It hadn't occured to me how much of a Babar type elephant she is, but I can really see it now. I use to love Babar when I was younger, he appears to have snuck into the design with me noticing  Cheesy
