I started my first-ever garterlac cloth last night! Since it's my first, this one is all mine-mine-mine! But it's really fun, so I think I'll have to make more!

I've been going pretty dishcloth-crazy lately, so I'll probably have at least one already made for my partner.

Can't wait!

I hope it is turning out better than mine.  Most people's first garterlac turns out great.  I royally screwed something up.  I am just going find a way to finish it up and then start over again.  Wait until you see the picture of my major screw up.  It is kind of funny.

I am soo looking forward to partners (and hopefully they won't want garterlac, though hopefully the second attempt will be better).  If they do want garterlac, that is ok, I'm sure the second time will be the charm.

No sweat gizmonic.  I was worried the first time I organized a swap that I'd completely mess things up!

As a side note, I told my husband about this swap last night and he said "nice, we can always use more dishcloths".  I never knew that he'd be such an advocate but he really does love using them!

I keep mine with me and don't have them out around my friend who would end up taking them to the barn and cleaning the grease and oil off the tractors with them, and if not that he would clean his greasey and oily hands when he came back from the barn!!!

Waiting patiently for my partner.  Want to get started.   Grin

oh, myklia!
Well, it was a valiant try  Smiley
And I'm sure it's still a useful cloth, just call it a design element, right?
That turning got me all mixed up my first time also....

Thanks, I at least basically understand the pattern and am no longer intimidated by it, I just got turned around somewhere.
