I wasn't going to do any more swaps this summer, but this one is quick and easy and will help me get rid of some of the random cotton yarns I only bought one roll of!

I am finally finally able to show progress on my garterlac.

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=218514.msg2869406#msg2869406

Yaaayyy!!! Cheesy

That is fabulous, Myklia!
Great work & you have overcome your fears  Smiley

Thank you Cheesy

I'm so excited to see so many people sign up.

Myklia, great job!   Cool  Once you garterlac, you don't go back! Wink  Roll Eyes Cheesy

Working the 'lac is not complicated but I find it does need my full concentration.  Can't have too many distractions around or it's a froggin' I go.  Sad

And it turns out to be such an attractive piece!  Well worth it.

Full concentration indeed.  I have all the steps written in order and I check them off as I go, so if I need a break, I remember where I left off.  I am pretty lucky to not have any human distractions at home (though sometimes it would be nice to have some, Oh well).  I'm not sure I want to make this too often, but I do plan on making one for each of my three aunts and my mom.  I know all of them will really appreciate it and I would really only want to to do it for someone that is going to appreciate it.

I so look forward to partners, but I have a super busy day at work tomorrow to keep me busy until then. Undecided

The Criminy Jickets pattern is so well written -- honestly, I don't think I would have grasped the concept w/any other pattern/tutorial.

That, and the support and encouragement I received from you guys on last year's Cloth KAL.   Kiss  Esp. from KBauer.  I haven't seen her here recently.  Wonder if she's on a Craftster fast?

ETA:  I know what you mean about the appreciation factor.  That's why I'm so into swapping right now.  I know that whomever my partner is will respect the work that goes into my craft and will enjoy it.  Knowing that s/he appreciate it will make me happy.

I may have already started knitting my dishcloth Smiley I got about halfway through it yesterday while sitting outside enjoying the weather. Assuming nothing about it offends my partners interests, I should be able to mail it right out by the weekend.

Ooh, can't wait to get partners!!!  I need to take my daughter to the dentist tomorrow afternoon, so that's the perfect opportunity to get started on one.
