Alright, If I must, I'll turn away and cover my eyes.  I'm not peeking.

You may now discuss amongst yourselves. Smiley

Woooo, I'm so happy about this dishcloth, I want to keep it myself (but I won't, I can make one for myself after the swap is over). Cheesy  No S.O.S. needed from the knitting forum.  I should have it done before the end of the day.  Yay!!!! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Lol I hear that! I knitted 20 washcloths in 21 days and I have 2 half skeins left. Sad

i've read a lot of posts from knitters on this swap. Are there any crocheters?  Just wondering since I'm one myself.

I'm so jealous of everyone's time to get the cloth done! I'm hoping that my crabby daughter will go down for a nap so that I can have at least an hour to start on one of my partner's dishcloths! Tongue

I'm a crocheter!  Smiley I also knit, but really, really slowly, and it doesn't always look that great. I stuck to crocheted cloths for this swap.

I have been shown how to crochet between the ages of 8 and 20. But could never pick it up past double crochet. (which I still get backwards)

When I was 24 I saw a friend (now and ex-friend) knitting and I loved what she was making. So on my way home from her house I went 15 miles in the wrong way to go to walmart and pick up a learn how to knit kit.

The book just confused me So I went online to google and found http://KnittingHelp.com .(the site has FREE videos!) By night fall I was casting on,knitting and purling! I haven't looked back since! lol

For my second cloth I will make a vialient attempt to crochet, but if by next weekend I get too frustrated, I'll then just knit a cloth, or choose an easier crochet project (what I have in mind doesn't have a pattern, I'm going to wing it *danger Will Robinson, danger* Wink)

I took to knitting like eating (even though I still have so much to learn), but crochet is another story.  I really wish I could have someone teach me in person (I know some crocheters at work, but they don't seem to be offering up help and honestly, I don't take a lunch break half the time because I am too busy (I scarf down food at my desk), so there really is no time).  I may just need to take some lessons at some point and be done with it.  Right now the Happy Hooker is my guide.

Myklia, check out tjw1963's video's on youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/tjw1963

I found her on the crochet board recently and checked out her links.  Her instructional videos are clear and concise; last night I crocheted along with one of her videos.  I was practicing a tiny something that I'm adding to our swap! Wink  Hope you like it!
