OK so this is my first sewing project that I am VERY proud of.  Please let me know if my head is getting tooo big!!  I wanted to make a new comforter for our bed, I originally made a quilt (no pictures) and that didn't turn out very well but it served it's purpose.

Now I have a new found love of interior decorating and the rest of my house I'm kinda going for a vintage shabby sorta not dorm room look, but I wanted something serene and relaxing in the bedroom.  So this is what I came up with...keep in mind this is a WIP!!  I still need to put something up on the walls at least.

Here is the comforter

Detail of the embroidery

and everything so far...

Brutal Honesty would be appreciated!!

I love the embriodery!! Did you use a pattern, or did you freehand it? Either way, it is beautiful!

I actually winged it and just used my hands to measure.  It was all freehand and not very organised, it also took several fishing trips with my DH to finish.

Love it!! I love the pattern you chose for the comforter subtle but makes a statement.

I really like it. It's simple and serene, which I think a bedroom should be. Smiley

Nice job! It's kind of modern and classic at the same time.
