Good question, but I haven't found any.  Sad My friend was telling me about a bead store somewhere, but I think that was over on the East side. I mostly go to Pat Catan's, myself.

There's a store on Univerity Circle that sells some silver and basic supplies.

I'm looking for somewhere locally to cast . . . or to pay them to cast my waxes.  Any suggestions?

also - if you want a bit of a drive . . . this store is pretty nifty.

I don't think they do casting there, but Bead Paradise in Oberlin is great.  They have a huge selesction of beads, stones, findings, etc. plus some handmade jewelry for sale as well.  They also sell slothing, natural products like Burt's Bees, and vintage finds.  Their website is www.beadparadise.com

Hobby Lobby in Medina has some different stuff plus stained glass supplies if you want to do little stained glass necklaces.  40% off coupon can be printed at www.hobbylobby.com
Bead Paradise in Oberlin
Isle of Beads in Cleveland Hts (Mayfield and Lee)
The Beaded Spirit in Olmsted Falls.
I think there is one in Chagrin Falls on the square and a newer store in Hudson but I haven't been to those.

I don't know of anywhere in town that sells jewelry making supplies like for metalsmithing.  Wings hobby shop in Lakewood has jeweler saws, blades, files.  They also have sheet and tubing (brass and copper)  they might have nickel silver too---can't remember.  I don't know where to get sheet/wire sterling in town.  Most of my jewelry class orders it from Rio Grande.  I got a 25 buck flexshaft at Target that seems to be ok so far.

I hear Artful Hands in Painsville is selling glass bead making supplies but I haven't been out there.

The gem show at the IX center and Berea fair grounds are always good for beads, cut gems, cabochons....

Just found this!!!!

We to the bead warehouse sale.  It was ok.  Lots of vintage seed beads.  Tube $1 and hanks $2.  Good colours.  Lots of natural stone beads pretty reasonable.  Good prices on shell beads $3.  Not much Swarovski at all.  Good selection of bali silver $0.59 per gram.  A lot of glass beads (pretty crappy ones) some lampworks that were ok, and not overpriced.  Dichrocic pendants and stuff.

worth a look.  They will be open again in Feb.  I belive they also do the intergalatic bead show that shows up in town every year.

also tried to find the bead shop in Rocky River on Center Ridge.  Didn't see anything...but I didn't have the exact address with me.  I wonder if it's in the River Yarns shop.  That's about the right address area.

isle is pretty good.

finally found the bead place in Rocky River.  Just down the street from Target BEHIND river yarns.  Was closed when i was by there.  looked small inside.  might check it out on sunday. ithink they were open in the afternoon if i remember correctly.

also my mom mentioned some glass/ceramics place in North Ridgeville.  She thought maybe they sold glass bead making stuff. might go check that out too.

there is a small bead shop on Detroit Ave just past Webb (the Beck Center).  I've been in there once to look around but I don't really know anything about jewlery making I couldn't tell you how good it was.  The woman working there was very nice though.

fire mountain has good stuff.  especially if you want rock beads and such.

that's a very cool job.  i have to say it's the clear photos that really help sell beads sight unseen.
