I made this headband out of my handspun yarn.  It's 3" wide and 20" around (stretches to fit my 24" head).  It's knit as a rectangle in stockinette stitch with a slipped edging, and the ends are grafted together.



Here is the yarn before being knit up, it's a 2 ply bulky weight spun from a black and white striped roving.



It took me about three hours to spin the yarn, an hour to ply it, and two hours to knit the headband.

I love it.  I recently started spinning, but have yet to get any decent yardage.  I definitely aspire to this to making something useful with my homespun yarn.
