(I don't mean to offend anyone, but this is actually the elephant's name; because my friend and I are dumb like that. I mean no disrespect to anyone. Besides, I'm sure there have been more offensive things on craftster.)

Isn't he cute?
This was for a friend's birthday, and I didn't want to post it until he got it.
It was about a month late, because he didn't tell me when his birthday was until two days before it. Nice. So, it took me about a month to finish it, mostly because I needed bigger dpn's. I took the project to work in my bag one day and half the stitches slid off. AAARGH!
Anyway, he was made with two Simply Soft yarns (don't remember the color names of either) on (too short!) US 6 needles. I did satin stitch (can't quite remember if that's what you call it or not) for the eyes.
I had to make up my own pattern for the ears because I didn't realize the original pattern had crocheted ears. I can't crochet to save my life.

OMG I love elephants and this is soooooo adorable.

Dear Craftster Friends,
Three years ago, I was much younger and dumber and I flaked on a few swaps. I am back and I promise to make it up to everyone I hurt. I had been flaked on a couple of times, and I know how cra**y it feels. I am really sorry.
