I made some earrings and pendants for myself and family. I have a few kilos of rough and polished gemstones and decided to stick em into fimo. Tell me what you think

Giant pendant (about 7cm across and down)

Encased stones

Egyptian & gumleaf earrings

I'm in love with the green one especially. It looks like something I was trying to make a while ago and failed miserably.

I love how the first one looks like little arms and hands all holding onto eachother and holding it all together.  Very pretty, and (probably inadvertently) adorable.

Only hot glue for the metal loop on the green pendant. I pushed the stones into the fimo & baked them as is (if they ever come out i can hot glue them, but they're pretty solid) The little gold beads aren't actually beads. Rolled little balls, then using a poker needle to put a hole into the middle of each one so they're attached into the clay. Links at the back are just blended onto the backing with my fingers. The green pendant i used a small roll around the base, i (painfully) pushed about a milimetre around the top & bottom edge with a blunt butter knife so it bonded to the stone & base.

Aww maybe you can try again. It was really easy.

Thanks  Grin That's what i thought. I blended in the joins of the clay pretty much, but i thought making the little fingers might add to its character.

Thanks everyone Cheesy More to come Cheesy

This is a great idea.  I have been trying to figure out what to do with my gemstone collection besides letting it sit in my closet collecting dust.  Thanks for the inspiration.
