I don't make canes very often but I did one for a component for one of the swaps I am in  and since you can do SO much with the cane slices, I went a bit crazy and made some jewelry pieces. Smiley

Butterfly pendant: 1 1/4" tall, almost 1 3/4" wide

Butterfly pin/brooch: (has a bar pin back glued to the back) 1 1/2" tall, 1 3/4" wide

Butterfly wing earrings: wings are 3/4" tall, 1/2" wide

Everything all together:

The original cane was a circle approx 1 inch in diameter and I reduced it down to different sizes, the smallest was reduced all the way down to 1/8" for some super tiny earrings that I have yet to photograph. Smiley Thanks for looking!

more pics:

tiny pendant, this one is backed with an additional layer of black clay on the back: a bit larger than 1/2" tall and a bit smaller than 3/4" wide

the super tiny butterfly earrings that are also backed with an additional layer of black clay ( I still need to put posts on): size is almost 1/2" tall and 1/2" wide

thanks for looking!

Thanks!
I don't do canes often because they hurt my head just to think about all that goes into them But this one was just made from skinner blends and bullseye canes. Smiley
Hope you decide to give it a try! Look how beautiful they can be!

Lovely! I love the colors, and is the pendant translucent, or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

Thanks! No it is not transparent, that is just a bit of glare from the light hitting the high gloss glaze. Tongue
