Hey everyone!
It was my friend's birthday on Friday and since the poor boy has never had anyone cook for him (apart from his parents and the local take aways!) I decided to cook up a feast!
Started off with my homemade guacamole, then I made sausage rolls with sausages wrapped in bacon then puff pastry, a bacon filled cheesey quiche and bacon filled potato salad. He LOVES meat and cheese! And me being a vego I pulled out the love and held back the vomit to prepare this food!
And for the grand finale...........
A GREEN CAKE!!

I dug around the supermarket trying to find everything green and lolly like I could (if you couldn't tell, green is his favourite colour).
It took quite a while to stick every m&m on one by one, but I think it turned out pretty cool.
I took some other photos of the swirly insides but photobucket hates me today Sad

Anyway by the time we got to the cake we were all a bit......Tipsyish and gobbled it down fast!
I saw him again last night at another party and he kept thanking me for such an awesome cake, people started coming up to me and asking me about this green cake they had heard so much about.
Grin
Thanks for looking!

What a super friend you are!  This is a fab cake.

And I know you're veggie, but sausage rolls with bacon is such a good idea!  Once the batch of sausage rolls I made last week is gobbled up, I'm gonna try this.

Thanks guys! Grin
I finally got photobucket to like me again so here's a pic of the green swirly insides:

I slaved away at those damn sausage rolls, and made well over 30-and most were eaten!! I had to beat away the two boys I live with so there would be some left for the birthday boy! Grin It's pretty easy once you get a 'flow' going, I was listening to music and in my own little world while my hands did all the work.

Cheesy
