I've been having so much fun looking at the stitiching I thought I'd share one of my own. It's a Dragon Dreams design and I just recently had it framed.

A close up. The eggshell and star are done in light effects thread but the sparkle doesn't show here.

I love this.  I have loads of dragonalia around my home and I love this take on Christmas decorating.

I was so intrigued by the subject title. He really did hatch an egg. Good job.

Thanks everyone! I love fantasy themes but I don't get as much done as I'd like. I have loads of patterns though.

This design was an ornament but it turned out so nice I decided to have it framed. I'm learning a lot of great tips for projects on this site beyond the typical stitch and frame though. That's what I love about this place! That and everyone is so friendly and supportive.

Unfortunately, the person I made this for, who loves dragons, couldn't tell what the little guy was. Oh well, we're in 'gator country so I guess his confusion is understandable.  Grin

Very nicely done, and I can see a bit of the light effects.

I've not tried that thread is it any different than working with regular?

Working with light effects is horrendous! It makes a beautiful finished project but it's very stiff. It twists and catches on the fabric if I'm not careful. Of course there's always the possibility I'm doing something wrong.  Embarrassed

There's a technique I read about, when working with two strands, to "split" the threads with the needle before making the stitch. It keeps the stitches a little apart and gives better coverage. I find that it takes longer than regular stitiching though, so I usually only use it for special projects.  Smiley
