Great first pieces.  I am still to timid to try my hand at anything other then cross stitch but everytime I see how well someones first attempts came out it really makes me think about it   Wink

I tried cross-stiches. I hate it. I can't do it properly at all.

cross stitch has more restrictions.. as where embroidery has more liberty to do more.  great first project.  dont let it make you nervous, the more you do the better you get!

I love your satin stitched leaves, the colors are great together, and your stitiching is very good for a first attempt. Embroidery has a lot of great stitches, it's more versatile than cross stitiching.
