Baseball Sleeve Tutorial!

1. Cut the sleeves off at an angle to the neck, and cut the seams up the side of the shirt.


2. Cut the underside of the sleeve and unfold it. Cut the material you're using to make the new sleeves in the same shape as the old sleeves. (For a true baseball tee, make them a little bit longer.)


3. This is how it should look.


4. Unfold the peices and lay them out. Sew the sleeves on. (I usually start where the sleeve meets the collar and sew both sides separately to get them even.) Sew up the sides of the shirt, resizing/making girly fit if needed.


Write stuff on the front of your new shirt (and make sure your bra shows through a whole lot... gawwd. Hahahha.)


This was one I did that actually fit. Yeah, awesome. Hahahha.

Well, it won't stretch... hahaha. You'd have to make the sleeves bigger than your arms or you won't be able to get it on or move in it. The one I showed was made of jersey mesh which has some stretch, but not as much as jersey knit, and it wasn't terribly comfortable. Then again, it's too small.

Thanks, guys! I can't deny that I'm kind of tickled a tutorial I made 5 years ago is still getting use!!! Maybe I should remake it seeing as I spent those 5 years going through fashion school and actually know how to sew properly now... hahaha.
