high five! seriously. if I could high five you in real life I would, but this virtual one will have to do. I've been working out some patterns these past few days too... believe me, if it's butterick (?) you're on about, they're easier than "woman's weekly".  Roll Eyes maybe I should stop getting these patterns for 40p secondhand though... Lips sealed er, I'm really happy for you! please, please keep sewing, it will set you up for life, I wish I'd worked that out sooner than just learning now how to work a pattern.

well done Smiley hooray for us!

I find that crafts are very good time wasters. If they aren't for you, then you are one of those rare individuals who know what you're doing!

First let me say you're a pretty cool 13 year old! I wish my 14 year old sister had as much sense as you lol
Very cute dress, don't worry you'll probably grow into it soon enough lol... cute dog too!

Considering your age it is very good effort! I'd play around a bit with the waist portion to pull it in a bit but the bust part looks great. Hate to tell you that I was AA at 13 - and I'm only an A at (ahem) 43! They did get bigger when I was preg/nursing so you can have that to look forward to one day LOL!

i think it looks pretty good. what dont you like about butterick patterns in general? in all pattern companies i find the size they tell me to make is like a freekin tent when i get it made. so i measure out at the 12 but i always make the 8 and im fine. maybe once you get a system like that youll like them better. but being able to wing it is a great skill that i never mastered. :0)
