So my cheap $1 Target dry erase calendar didn't erase very well and it was basically pretty ugly. So I ditched it. And I made myself a new dry erase calendar.

Just a $7 picture frame from Michael's and some scrapbooking paper. It was a very easy, 15 minute project but I absolutely love it. The grid was drawn on with permanent marker and everything else is dry erase. WOOHOO.

You can just by dry erase?  That's crazy!  Really cute paper, too.

Just so you know, permanent marker comes OFF if you use dry erase cleaner.  I couldn't believe my eyes when I had done something similar myself and then when I used the spray cleaner all of the permanent marker came off!  Ack!!!  Just thought I'd give you a heads up!

Don't worry! The grid is on the inside of the glass, so I can't wipe it off unless I take the whole thing apart. Wink

Great idea!  Actually, my friends do the same thing with their glass coffee table (tape paper to the underside to get a white surface) when we're doing our nerdy D&D games Wink

I was inspired.

I made my own. I posted it on my blog. I am going to post it here later, but just ran out of time tonight.

I wouldn't have thought to do the permanant marker on the UNDERSIDE of the glass.....great idea!  I still can't tell what kind of frame it is- did it not have any wood, or was it one of those clip style frames?
