I vote for no eyes - he is wearing a mask and doesn't need eyes.

What really caught my eye was the wall paper!  I love it!

I love the proportions! I'd leave the eyes, maybe paint them gray? (unless they photographed lighter than they really are)

Oh. My. God. That is so amazing! I love Batman so much, perhaps more than I should, and I have a friend who would kill for this doll (erm... action figure XD). So I have to second the request for a pattern. And I think that he looks perfect without eyes - he doesn't have eyes when he wears the mask in the cartoon either!
