it took me about 5 seconds to figure out who my childhood hero was: arnold schwarzenegger. he was tough, he was cool, he was CONAN. my friends and i often ask each other "what is best in life" which is a quote from conan the barbarian.

i couldn't make the suncatcher as complicated as the photo i was working with, but i think i captured the most important stuff. the suncatcher is made out of makit & bakit crystals and i soldered the suncatcher frame myself. the headpiece and face details are painted on with acrylics.

sorry about the lame photos; my camera software isn't cooperating today so i had to use my webcam.

thanks for looking!

not only is your sun catcher very cool, but, my friends and I say 'what is best in life' loads too.  My boyfriend was pretty amused when he saw the title -its a very inventive idea.

Wow! I'm so impressed that you made a suncatcher! I never would have thought of that.

Dangerously clever and resourceful.

That is so freakin' awesome!  I am in awe that you did the soldering!  I don't even like Conan, and I'm blown away by this!

love the piece, and in my lameness and not knowing, what did you use for the frame? And what size/ type of material did you use for soldering?
I am interested in delving into "stainglass" a bit deeper..

That is hilarious and awesome. I love Conan!
The comics (the Savage Sword of Conan) with art my John Buscema and/or Ernie Chan are the best!

One should either be a work of art, or wear a work of art.
