Judy Blume and Beverly Cleary--Super Women of fiction!!

Whew!  I finally finished this!  Better late then never!  I was really wanting to do this challenge and only thought of my childhood heroes three days ago because I just had a hard time thinking of someone--and then it hit me!  I was a total bookworm as a kid and some of the best books I've ever read (even as an adult) are books by these two extraordinary women--Superfudge, Ramona Quimby Age 6, Dr Mr Henshaw, Tale of the Fourth Grade Nothing, Ramona and Beezus, Hanry and Ribsy, Are you There God, It's Me Margaret, Iggie's House, Freckle Juice and so many more.  I love them so and have read and reread them so many times and still do!!  So I began drawing out an image.  I wanted to represent them as superheores.  I gave them superhero outfits and fierce stares.  Also Judy holds a mighty magical pencil!  I had an absolute blast creating this and am so please with how it turned out.  So for this challenge I present to you the Super Women of fiction:  Beverly Cleary and Judy Blume!!

  This is supremely awesome!!! These were some of my fav childhood authors (sadly - I even remember when a couple came out brand new!!!). I think this is very creative and awe-inspiring!!!

I love both authors and have a prime middle school memory of sneaking a copy of Wifey into my 7th grade math glass and passing it around until my friend and I got busted for disrupting the class. My mom was really embarrassed when she had to come up and get the book, it was her.

The wonderfulness of this makes me want to cry. Exact same heroes here. I wrote to Judy Blume when I was in 7th grade and I got a (form) letter back. I thought it was the coolest thing. Actually, I still do.

Am I the only one who tries to get all the editions from when she read the books? Some I kept from childhood, but others I've recollected and when I see those familiar covers...oh.

Fabulous!  I read every book written by both women!  In fact, Judy Blume wrote another "Fudge" book a few years back and I asked for it for Christmas!  Fast and fun read!
