Fleamarket-time is glorious time, I tell you. I found this huge "Casual Friday" thing that was given me for almost nothing. Since I shrunk one of the kid's pants in the wash today  Roll Eyes , he had to have another one.

The project went from an L-sized Hawaiian shirt:


to very easy (thanks again Petchy for the wonderful ten-minute-pants-tutorial!), very nice summer pants for my little boy:


The buttons still open!  Grin I love the thing, it's cotton and very cool on the skin. Perfect for summer. I know it's a bit wonky in places, but I'm still a sewing beginner...

I've hit this rocks.  The fabric is excellent.  god I wish I could find something like that for DS.  Have some red cotton - thinking about having a go and doing some bleaching.  thanks for the inspiration.
