-Sorry the pictures are quite big-

Okay so I had been planning on making my prom dress for a long time, and I eventually got round to start making bits of it quite early on, but me being me, I didn't even get a move on to finish it until about a week before prom, only actually finishing it on the morning Tongue

So Prom was on Wednesday evening and everybody looked so stunning, and I spent the whole time telling people I made my dress Tongue It was rather fun Smiley

Hmm to describe my dress... It's in this sorter purple colour, silk dupion fabric (red and blue threads), It has these extra panels at the top that lace up to one side, and there is a black bit of lace over one side of the top of the dress, it is fully lined and has boning, The dress is picked up to one side in various places to show the petticoat underneath that I also made, it has a few different layers of different fabrics... oh yeh and the dress is fastened with an invisible zip with a hook and eye at the top

A little complicated??

Now for some pictures...

The top bit wasn't lying flat, I corrected that before getting ready Tongue
My hair and make-up isnt done there

The whole dress Smiley Again with my hair and make-up undone Tongue

Just for fun, my best friends Smiley We went to prom in a huge white Cadillac Smiley
My friend Stevie has such an awesome dress! This pic has a good view of the skirt

One of my favourite pictures! Aren't we cute Tongue

And there is plenty more pictures somewhere Tongue

I hope you like it as much as I do Smiley

I think it's really beautiful, creative and well made.  I love the colors you choose as well as the corset bodice.  Also your hair looks really nice with the dress.  Great job.  I'm pressing this rocks.

Stunning work! Love the colours. You must have been the belle of the ball! Wink

If you ever wanted to reuse your dress, but change the look a little, you could make a black petticoat too.
